IntriEnergy has assembled an accomplished, industry-recognized team of business leaders and scientists with a proven track record of developing, commercializing, and bringing technologies to market in the areas of semi-conductor and photovoltaics manufacturing, as well as multi-faceted research and expertise in the areas of materials modeling, photovoltaics, and nuclear science. Each member of the team has 30+ years in their respective fields including technology, business and product development, operational excellence, and financial and executive leadership.

Jackie Coffey – CEO (Founder)

Ms. Coffey is a founder and CEO of IntriEnergy. She brings to IntriEnergy over 30 years’ experience in the energy industry. As IntriEnergy’s CEO she has led the company from its inception utilizing her strategic leadership, organizational, relationship and communication skills to ensure the company’s solid foundation as it enters the $150 billion global solar industry. Under Jackie’s direction the company has built the core team, secured its intellectual property, built relationships and established agreements with key industry participants, as the company initiates the commercial development and deployment of its first of three technologies.

Dr. Franco Gaspari – EVP Chief Technical Officer (Founder)

Inventor of the Company’s technologies, Professor of Physics at University of Ontario Institute of Technology. 30 years in photovoltaics and applied materials research, commercialization and over 75 published, peer reviewed whitepapers. His work has focused on materials and devices in the areas of semi-conductors, thin film amorphous silicon and carbon nano-crystalline materials. Dr. Gaspari is leading the Research and Development for IntriEnergy’s Technology Platform and future energy innovations in conjunction with our Manufacturing and Commercialization team.

Jan Vandersande – COO EVP Engineering

Mr. Vandesande brings a multi-decade distinguished international career within the broader semiconductor and PV industries. Jan transitioned to take up senior business and technology development positions at technology providers such as Metron Technology, Roth & Rau and Activ Solar. Recent projects include full business planning for a Brazilian PV module factory, business development for a Swiss R&D PV center, and the management of a Belgium university spin-off initiative towards the start-up of a wearable electronics solutions company.

Dan Promerleau – Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Pomerleau brings over three decades of experience in building better businesses that encompasses start-ups, middle market private equity-owned and public companies. Mr. Pomerleau as CEO led Technibus Inc., into the hybrid generation market that conducts and manages electricity between new energy, natural gas and the grid interconnects. During his career, private equity firm Pfingsten Partners (Chicago) to lead as CEO and Director of Operations of three of their platform companies which he directed and prepared for strategic private and public offerings.

Pere Soria Alcazar – Vice President Product Development

Mr. Soria brings to the team extensive experience in the solar industry that encompassing vertical engineering of PV manufacturing, and gigawatts of international project management. Pere successfully headed the PV manufacturing line construction and commissioning at Heliene Inc., where his role as Chief Technology Officer at Heliene Inc, led to the company’s success in the areas of energy procurement and construction of international PV projects. Pere’s brings significant industry experience along with his many years teaching engineering at the University of Barcelona and La Salle University.

Jeffrey Whitney – EVP Corporate Development & Sustainability (Founder)

Mr. Whitney has been involved in the start-up of a variety of successful businesses, including IntriEnergy. Mr. Whitney was the President of an Si-wafer energy start-up company where he secured multiple joint ventures and licensing agreements in both Europe and APAC. Jeffrey was a founder and senior partner in a financial development company focused on time sensitive transactions for banks and client. His understanding of science and technology combined with his business acumen brings industry insight to our technology platform and the Company's Sustainability vision.
